      Programme Guide
 Introduction
The Executive / Professional Diploma programmes (duration of 12 to 18 months) are specially designed and developed to enhance skills and knowledge of the working community for their career advancement. The curriculum, which is developed by lecturers from various faculties of University of Malaya and also industry practitioners, stresses both theoretical and practical aspects to cater to working adults’ needs to enhance their knowledge and skills in related fields. All courses are carried out on a part-time basis whereby classes are held on weekends, either on Saturday or Sunday, depending on the particular programme.

The learning and teaching methods are carried out through lectures, discussions, group presentations, exercises, videos and case studies. All these methods are enhanced through the use of various teaching aids. To maintain credibility of UMCCed certification, all examinations are conducted under strict university standard and regulation.

Since 1998, more than 14,000 students have completed their studies successfully in their respective courses.

Graduate Achievement
According to the graduate tracer study which was carried out, 5% of graduates have received promotions, 16% received salary increases and 23% received promotions and salary increases within 1 to 6 months upon graduating. However, Certificate, Diploma or any other academic qualifications is not a guarantee of obtaining the desired position as evaluation for promotion or salary increment is very subjective. It depends on the overall performance of the individual and how he/she practises the knowledge and skills acquired through this programme in performing their job.
