At the end of the course, participants are able to:
1. Recognize the content of basic discourse
2. Recreate basic German language structures
3. Use appropriate vocabulary in different contexts of basic discourse
4. Construct simple sentences in German language

1. Getting to know students, distribution of the pro forma and course outline, introduction to Germany, German language and its grammar system.
2. Chapter 1: Guten Tag.
   Greetings & taking leave, pronouns and verbs conjugation
3. Vocabulary: numbers, name of countries and languages
   Grammar: Sentence Structure
4. Chapter 2: Freunde, Kollegen und ich
   To introduce one’s family members, possessive articles, personal pronouns
5. Prepositions ‘in’, ‘aus’ and ‘am’, days of the week and hobbies / activities
6. Test 1
7. Discussion about the Listening Test
   Chapter 3: In der Stadt
   To identify the different places and to name the different types of transports
8. Test 2
   Grammar: definite, indefinite and negative articles,
9. Discussion about the Grammar Test
   Chapter 4: Guten Appetit!
   To identify the food, drinks, meals, to comment about the food
10. Test 3
11. Discussion about the Vocabulary Test
    Grammar: Sentence structure, Accusative Case and verbs + Accusative, adjectives
12. Speaking and writing exercises (e.g. dialogues)
    Test 4
13. Discussion about the Written Test
    Review and speaking exercises
14. Review of course
