Speaking and Presentation Skills
This course helps students use spoken English in a range of formal and informal situations. The course develops students’ speaking skills through participation in group discussion on various situations.
The course also helps students build their confidence in speaking English. Students learn how to prepare and deliver effective speeches, presentations in academic and non-academic situations using appropriate verbal and non-verbal language. Students also learn how to design and use effective and appropriate visual aids for presentations.
At the end of the course, participants are able to:
1. Demonstrate the ability to discuss ideas in small groups.
2. Select effective ways to organise relevant ideas for a speech.
3. Execute oral presentations using appropriate visual aids.
