Executive Diploma in Counselling

Overview
This programme is offered specifically for working adults who are interested in acquiring specialised skills and knowledge in counseling for the purpose of career development. The course is designed to provide participants with current theoretical, research and practical knowledge as basics for developing skills and to improve counseling effectiveness.
Malaysian Applicants
Candidates must fulfill the following requirements
- Passed SPM with a mininum of three (3) credits or equivalent: OR
- Obtained APEL Certificate from MQA for admission to Diploma (Level 4); OR
- Obtained other qualifications recognised by the Senate; AND
- Have a minimum of six (6) months working experience; AND
- Fulfilled the programme special requirements set by the Senate.
Non Malaysian Applicants
Non Malaysian applicants who wish to pursue study in the Executive Diploma programme at the University must meet the following general requirements
a. Pass at least General Certificate of Education 'O' Level or other qualification recognized by the Senate;AND
b. Obtained the following results in one of the English proficiency exams as described below:
- A minimum of Level 2 (Band 2) in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET);
- Minimum Band 4.0 for International English Language Testing System (IELTS) / CEFR A2;
- A minimum score of 397 (PBT) or 30-31 (IBT) for Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL);
- CAE (160) (Cambridge English: Advance) CEFR B2;
- CPE (180) (Cambridge English: Proficiency) CEFR C1; OR
- PTE (Pearson Test of English) (30).AND
c. Have a minimum of six (6) months working experience.
