The Foundation in Life Sciences and Foundation in Physical Sciences programmes are offered by the Universiti Malaya Center for Continuing Education (UMCCed) through the UM Open Channel (SATU) known as the UM SATU Foundation Programme. The curriculum and syllabus are the same as being taught at the UM Centre for Foundation Studies in Science.

The programme is Open to Malaysian citizen with BUMIPUTERA status (including Malay descendant,native of Sabah and Sarawak and indigenous folk of peninsular Malaysia) who meet the entry requirements and plan to further their studies at UM.

Upon completion of the programmes, successful students may apply for entrance into various science-based Degree programmes offered by the Universiti Malaya especially through our Open Channel (SATU) or at other local public Institution of Higher Learning (IPTA) and private Higher Education Institution (IPTS).
