Bachelor of Media Studies
The Bachelor in Media Studies programme aims to produce good graduates who are knowledgeable, technology literate and skilled in producing worthwhile media texts, as well as able to zand contribute to the field of media and communication, whether as professional industry practitioners, or as scholars and intellects.
Pass the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with a credit (Grade C) in Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia subject
or
A credit (Grade C) in Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia July papers and pass in History (SPM 2013 and above);
and
Achieve a minimum Band in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) as required in special requirements of the programme.
and
Have fulfilled all special requirements of the programme as may be prescribed by the Senate.
SPECIAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
1) STPM
Arts Stream (Current Year)
Pass STPM with a minimum CGPA of 3.00;
and
Obtained of at least Grade B in STPM for any two (2) of the subjects;
and
Obtained of at least a credit for English in SPM;
and
2) MATRIC/FOUNDATION
Science /Accounting/ TESL / Laws Stream (Current Year)
Pass Matriculation / Foundation with a minimum CGPA of 3.00;
and
Obtained of at least a credit for English in SPM;
and
3) STAM
Pass with at least Jayyid Jiddan in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM);
and
Obtained of at least a credit for English in SPM;
and
4) DIP/EQUI
REQUIREMENT 1
Possessed a Diploma in Media Studies or any relevant fields recognised by Malaysian Government and approved by the University Senate with a minimum CGPA of 3.00;
and
Obtained of at least a credit for English in SPM;
and
Obtained at least band 3.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 3.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application
OR
REQUIREMENT 2
Pass STPM not within the current year with a minimum CGPA of 3.00;
and
Obtained of at least Grade B in STPM for any two (2) of the subjects;
and
Obtained of at least a credit for English in SPM;
and
5) OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Possessed a GCE A-Level with at least Grade B in any three (3) subjects;
and
Obtained at least band 3.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 3.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application
