Bachelor of Shariah & Law
The Bachelor of Shariah and Law is designed to expose students with necessary skills and expertise in Islamic judiciary and advocacy. Similar exposure is channelled towards important Malaysian civil law subjects.The core courses include Islamic Property Law, Administration of Islamic Law, Islamic Judiciary and Islamic Family Law.The programme aims to produce graduates who are fully equipped with the substantive and procedural laws including some professional courses introduced in the programme.
Pass the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with a credit (Grade C) in Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia subject
or
A credit (Grade C) in Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia July papers and pass in History (SPM 2013 and above);
and
Achieve a minimum Band in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) as required in special requirements of the programme.
and
Have fulfilled all special requirements of the programme as may be prescribed by the Senate.
SPECIAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
1) STPM
Arts Stream (Current Year)
Pass STPM with a minimum CGPA of 3.00;
and
Obtained of at least Grade B in STPM for Syariah / Usuluddin;
and
Obtained of at least Grade B in STPM for Bahasa Arab;
and
Obtained of at least Grade B in SPM for Bahasa Arab / Al-Lughah al-Arabia al-Mu’asirah / Turath Bahasa Arab
and
Obtained of at least Grade B+ in SPM for Bahasa Inggeris;
and
Obtained at least band 2.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 2.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application2) MATRIC/FOUNDATION
Arts Stream (Current Year)
Pass Islamic Studies Foundation (Universiti Malaya) with a minimum CGPA of 3.00;
and
Obtained of at least Grade B in SPM for any one (1) of the following subjects:
- Pendidikan Islam / Turath Dirasat Islamiah
- Pendidikan Al-Quran dan Al-Sunnah /Maharat al-Quran / Al-Syariah / Turathal-Quran dan al-Sunnah
- Pendidikan Syari’ah Islamiah / Hifz alQuran/Usul al-Din
- Tasawwur Islam;
and
Obtained of at least Grade B in SPM for Bahasa Arab/ Al-Lughah al-Arabia al-Mu’asirah/ Turath Bahasa Arab
and
Obtained at least band 2.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 2.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application3) STAM
(Current Year)
Obtained of at least Jayyid Jiddan in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM);
and
Obtained of at least Grade B in SPM for Bahasa Arab/ Al-Lughah al-Arabia al-Mu’asirah/ Turath Bahasa Arab
and
Obtained of at least Grade B+ in SPM for English;
and
Obtained at least band 2.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 2.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application4) DIP/EQUI
REQUIREMENT 1
Possessed a Diploma in Islamic Studies or relevant field recognised by Malaysian Government and approved by the University Senate with a minimum CGPA of 3.00;
and
Obtained of at least Grade B in SPM for Bahasa Arab/ Al-Lughah al-Arabia al-Mu’asirah/ Turath Bahasa Arab and at least Grade B at Diploma in Bahasa Arab;
and
Obtained of at least Grade B+ in SPM for Bahasa Inggeris;
and
Obtained at least band 2.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 2.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application
OR
REQUIREMENT 2
Pass STPM not within the current year with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 and a minimum of Grade B in STPM for Syariah/ Usuluddin;
and
Obtained of at least Grade B in STPM for Bahasa Arab;
and
Obtained of at least Grade B in SPM for Bahasa Arab/ Al-Lughah al-Arabia al-Mu’asirah/ Turath Bahasa Arab
and
Obtained of at least Grade B+ in SPM for Bahasa Inggeris;
and
Obtained at least band 2.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 2.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application5) OTHER REQUIREMENTS
