MATRICULATION  FOUNDATION  (Current Year)

Science / Accounting / TESL / Laws Stream (Current Year)

Pass Matriculation with a minimum CGPA of 3.00;

and
Obtained of at least Grade A in SPM in English Language;

and
Obtained at least band 4.5 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 4.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application.

DIPLOMA / EQUIVALENT

REQUIREMENT 1

Possessed a Diploma in English Language from any institution recognised by Malaysian Government and approved by the University Senate with a minimum CGPA of 3.00;

and
Obtained of at least Grade A in SPM in English Language;

and
Obtained at least band 4.5 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 4.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application.

OR

REQUIREMENT 2

Possessed a Diploma in Elementary Teaching from the Ministry of Education Malaysia with a minimum CGPA of 3.00;

or
Possessed a Certificate of Elementary Teaching from Ministry of Education Malaysia;

and
Obtained of at least Grade A in SPM in English Language;

and
Have experience in the teaching of English language or serve in any employments involving English matters (e.g. language teaching, translation, language planning, terminology management, editing, etc.) not less than three (3) years of experience;

and
Obtained at least band 4.5 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 4.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application.

OR

REQUIREMENT 3

Pass STPM not within the current year with a minimum CGPA of 3.00;

and
Obtained of at least Grade B in STPM for any two (2) subjects;

and
Obtained of at least Grade A in SPM in English Language;

and
Obtained at least band 4.5 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 4.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application.

OR

REQUIREMENT 4

Pass Matriculation/ Foundation not within the current year with a minimum CGPA of 3.00;

and
Obtained of at least Grade A in SPM in English Language;

and
Obtained at least band 4.5 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 4.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

REQUIREMENT 1

Possessed a GCE A-Level with at least two (2) Grade B and one (1) Grade C in any three (3) subjects;

and
Obtained of at least Grade A in SPM in English Language;

and
Obtained at least band 4.5 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 4.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application.

However, applicants who do not possess MUET but possessed the following results may be considered for a conditional offer with the fulfilment of the MUET requirements within the duration of one (1) academic session:

Obtained of at least Band 6 (Academic) and 6.0 component of writing in IELTS;

or
Obtained of at least 547 points (PBT)/ 210 points (CBT)/ 78 points (IBT) in TOEFL 57 point PTE (Academic)

OR

REQUIREMENT 2

Possessed a recognised International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) with a minimum score of 30 points;

and
Obtained of at least Grade A in SPM in English Language;

and
Obtained at least band 4.5 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 4.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application.

However, applicants who do not possess MUET but possessed the following results may be considered for a conditional offer with the fulfilment of the MUET requirements within the duration of one (1) academic session:

Obtained of at least Band 6 (Academic) and 6.0 component of writing in IELTS;

or
Obtained of at least 547 points (PBT)/ 210 points (CBT)/ 78 points (IBT) in TOEFL 57 point PTE (Academic)

OR

Possessed Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT) qualification with at least 75 in ATAR, 85 in English subjects and at least 75 in any two (2) of the subjects;

and
Obtained of at least Grade A in SPM in English Language;

and
Obtained at least band 4.5 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 4.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application.

However, applicants who do not possess MUET but possessed the following results may be considered for a conditional offer with the fulfilment of the MUET requirements within the duration of one (1) academic session:

Students must complete a total of 127 credits in order to be awarded the Bachelor of English Language and Linguistics degree.
