Bachelor of Finance
The Bachelor of Finance programme allows students to embark on careers in fields of finance such as risk management, funds management, banking, investment analysis and financial analysis.
Professional Recognition
As an added value, the Bachelor of Finance program is a partner of the CFA Institute’s affiliated university programs. Bachelor of Finance graduates now can also obtain the credit exemption by The Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (MAICSA).

A credit (Grade C) in Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia July papers and pass in History (SPM 2013 and above);
and
Achieve a minimum Band in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) as required in special requirements of the programme.
and
Have fulfilled all special requirements of the programme as may be prescribed by the Senate.
STPM
Science / Arts Stream (Current Year)
Pass the STPM with at least a CGPA of 3.30;
and
Obtained at least Grade B+ at the STPM level in Mathematics (M) / Mathematics (T);
and
Obtained at least Grade B+ at the STPM level in two (2) of the following subjects:
- Accounting
- Economics
- Business Studies
- Physics
- Chemistry
and
Obtained at least Grade B+ for Mathematics and pass in English Language at the SPM level;
and
Obtained at least band 3.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 2.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application.
and
Pass the interview.
MATRICULATION / FOUNDATION (Current Year)
Science / Accounting Stream (Current Year)
Pass the Matriculation/Foundation with at least a CGPA of 3.30;
and
Obtained at least Grade B+ at the Matriculation/ Foundation level in Mathematics;
and
Obtained at least Grade B+ at the Matriculation/Foundation level in two (2) of the following subjects:
- Accounting
- Economics
- Business Studies
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Accountant in Business
- Financial Accounting
- Management Accounting
and
Obtained at least Grade B+ for Mathematics and pass in English Language at the SPM level;
and
Obtained at least band 3.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 2.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application.
and
Pass the interview.
DIPLOMA / EQUIVALENT
REQUIREMENT 1
Possess a Diploma in Finance, Banking, Insurance and other related field from any institutions recognised by the Government of Malaysia and approved by the University’s Senate with at least a CGPA of 3.30;
and
Obtained at least Grade B+ at the Diploma level in Mathematics;
and
Obtained at least Grade B+ at the Diploma level in two (2) of the following subjects:
- Accounting
- Economics
- Business Studies
- Physics
- Chemistry
and
Obtained at least Grade B+ for Mathematics and pass in English Language at the SPM level;
and
Obtained at least band 3.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 2.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application.
and
Pass the interview.
OR
REQUIREMENT 2
Pass the STPM not in current year with at least a CGPA of 3.30
and
Obtained at least Grade B+ at the STPM level in Mathematics (M) / Mathematics (T);
and
Obtained at least Grade B+ at the STPM level in two (2) of the following subjects:
- Accounting
- Economics
- Business Studies
- Physics
- Chemistry
and
Obtained at least Grade B+ for Mathematics and pass in English Language at the SPM level;
and
Obtained at least band 3.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 2.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application.
and
Pass the interview.
OR
REQUIREMENT 3
Pass the Matriculation/ Foundation not in current year with at least a CGPA of 3.30;
and
Obtained at least Grade B+ at the Matriculation/ Foundation level in Mathematics;
and
Obtained at least Grade B+ at the Matriculation/ Foundation level in two (2) of the following subjects:
- Accounting
- Economics
- Business Studies
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Accountant in Business
- Financial Accounting
- Management Accounting
and
Obtained at least Grade B+ for Mathematics and pass in English Language at the SPM level;
and
Obtained at least band 3.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 2.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application.
and
Pass the interview.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENT 1
Pass the GCE A-Level with at least Grade B in Mathematics and one (1) of the following subjects:
- Accounting
- Economics
- Business Studies
- Physics
- Chemistry
and
pass in English Language at the SPM level;
and
Obtained at least band 3.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 2.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application.
However, applicants who do not have MUET but have the following results may be considered for conditional offer by fulfilling the MUET requirements within the duration of one (1) academic session:
Obtained at least Band 4.5 in IELTS (Academic)
or
Obtained score of at least 477 (PBT) / 153 (CBT) / 53 (IBT) in TOEFL.
and
Pass the interview.
OR
REQUIREMENT 2
Possess the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) with a minimum score of 35 points;
and
Obtained at least Grade 5 at Higher Level (HL) at the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) level in Mathematics and one (1) of the following subjects:
- Economics
- Business Studies
- Physics
- Chemistry
and
pass in English Language at the SPM level;
and
Obtained at least band 3.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 2.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application.
However, applicants who do not have MUET but have the following results may be considered for conditional offer by fulfilling the MUET requirements within the duration of one (1) academic session:
Obtained at least Band 4.5 in IELTS (Academic)
or
Obtained score of at least 477 (PBT) / 153 (CBT) / 53 (IBT) in TOEFL.
and
Pass the interview.
OR
REQUIREMENT 3
Possess the Australian Matriculation Programme (AUSMAT) with a minimum Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) rank of 80 percent (%);
and
Obtained at least a score of 70% at the Australian Matriculation Programme (AUSMAT) level in Mathematics and one (1) of the following subjects:
- Business Management and Enterprise
- Economics
- Accounting and Finance
- Physics
- Chemistry
and
pass in English Language at the SPM level;
and
Obtained at least band 3.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 2.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application.
However, applicants who do not have MUET but have the following results may be considered for conditional offer by fulfilling the MUET requirements within the duration of one (1) academic session:
Obtained at least Band 4.5 in IELTS (Academic);
or
Obtained a score of at least 477 (PBT)/153 (CBT)/ 53 (IBT) in TOEFL;
and
Pass the interview.
Students must complete a total of 121 credits in order to be awarded the Bachelor of Finance.
