Bachelor of Sports Management
By studying various aspects of Sport Management such as Facilities and Equipment Management, Sport Finance, Sport Marketing, Event Management, Human Resource Management as well as Sport Law, University of Malaya graduates will have strong and adequate knowledge to make a difference. The Centre for Sport and Exercise Sciences, University of Malaya will strive further to improve the quality of the Sport Management programme in order for future graduates to become even more professional.
or
A credit (Grade C) in Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia July papers and pass in History (SPM 2013 and above);
and
Achieve a minimum Band in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) as required in special requirements of the programme.
and
Have fulfilled all special requirements of the programme as may be prescribed by the Senate.
STPM
Science / Arts Stream (Current Year)
Pass STPM in the current year with at least CGPA 2.00
and
Active in sports with submission of evidence of experience or involvement in sports;
and
Obtained at least band 3.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 3.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application
and
Pass written, physical tests and interview
MATRICULATION/ FOUNDATION
Science / Arts Stream
Pass Matriculation/ Foundation in the current year with at least CGPA 2.00
and
Active in sports with submission of evidence of experience or involvement in sports;
and
Obtained at least band 3.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 3.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application
and
Pass written, physical tests and interview
DIPLOMA/EQUIVALENT
REQUIREMENT 1
Possessed a Diploma from public universities or related institution recognised by Malaysian Government and approved by the University Senate with a minimum CGPA of 2.00;
and
Active in sports with submission of evidence of experience or involvement in sports at least representing the state/ national or as a former athlete/ referee/ team manager;
and
Obtained at least band 3.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 3.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application
and
Pass written, physical tests and interview
OR
REQUIREMENT 2
Pass STPM, not within the current year with at least CGPA 2.00
and
Active in sports with submission of evidence of experience or involvement in sports at least representing the state/ national or as a former athlete/ referee/ team manager;
and
Obtained at least band 3.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 3.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application
and
Pass written, physical tests and interview
OR
REQUIREMENT 3
Pass Matriculation, not within the current year with at least CGPA 2.00
and
Active in sports with submission of evidence of experience or involvement in sports at least representing the state/ national or as a former athlete/ referee/ team manager;
and
Obtained at least band 3.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 3.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application
and
Pass written, physical tests and interview
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENT 1
Possessed a recognised GCE-A Level qualification with at least one (1) Grade B and one (1) Grade C in any subject;
and
Active in sports with submission of evidence of experience or involvement in sports at least representing the state/ national or as a former athlete/ referee/ team manager;
and
Obtained at least band 3.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 3.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application
However, applicants who do not possess a MUET but possessed the following results may be considered for a conditional offer with the fulfilment of the MUET requirements within the duration of one (1) academic session:
Obtained of at least Band 4.5 (Academic) (Academic) in IELTS;
or
Obtained of at least 477 points (PBT)/ 153 points (CBT)/ 53 points (IBT) in TOEFL
and
Pass written, physical tests and interview
OR
REQUIREMENT 2
Possessed an International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) qualification with a minimum score of 30 points;
and
Active in sports with submission of evidence of experience or involvement in sports at least representing the state/ national or as a former athlete/ referee/ team manager;
and
Obtained at least band 3.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 3.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application
However, applicants who do not possess a MUET but possessed the following results may be considered for a conditional offer with the fulfilment of the MUET requirements within the duration of one (1) academic session:
Obtained of at least Band 4.5 (Academic) (Academic) in IELTS;
or
Obtained of at least 477 points (PBT)/ 153 points (CBT)/ 53 points (IBT) in TOEFL
and
Pass written, physical tests and interview
OR

Possessed a Pre-University Certificate from Sekolah Sukan Malaysia (SSM) with at least one (1) Grade B and one (1) Grade C in any subject
and
Active in sports with submission of evidence of experience or involvement in sports at least representing the state/ national or as a former athlete/ referee/ team manager;
and
Obtained at least band 3.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 3.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application
However, applicants who do not possess a MUET but possessed the following results may be considered for a conditional offer with the fulfilment of the MUET requirements within the duration of one (1) academic session:

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Special Channel for Highest Level Sports Athletes
Possessed high-level sports experience as an athlete or officer for at least one (1) year after SPM results.
and
Obtained of at least Grade C in SPM for the following subjects:
- Mathematics; and
- Any two (2) other subjects.
and
Obtained at least band 3.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 3.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application
and
Pass written, physical tests and interview.
Students must complete a total of 122 credit in order to be awarded the Bachelor of Sports Management.
